Choose a suitable access control system for your business!

Different security techniques are available in the market; you need to choose one which can fulfill your requirements for security. I am discussing about the security, different techniques for security are available where suitability depends on size and type of the organization. Computerized access control is far better than mechanical door locks for large organization, as access control systems are difficult to crack. Let us compare working of some access control systems to select one for your business.

System available to grant and deny entrance:
Card Reader Systems – in this system user has to enter the card into the reader to enter/exit. How it works? A magnetic strip on the back contains password for identification, when user enters the card in reader then password is verified with the associated software to allow access. It helps to track the time of access for each employee.

Keypad systems:
in this system user has to enter a code to get entered into the building. These keypad are reprogrammable (a code can be changed easily). They are also flexible in providing unique id to each employee so that entries of employee can be tracked. Keypad system is better than card reader system in case of input method. How? Card with magnetic strip is an important component to entry which may be lost, but in keypad system there is no need to have a physical input to enter into the building, rather a code is required to be entered.

Biometric Scanners:
biometric scanners are designed to take biological information like fingerprint and eye scans. Voice activation system can also be used, in which a voice code will be assigned to the user to crack the security. They are more secure and reliable then swipe card because biological scans are difficult or impossible to copy.

How they are able to provide reliable security?
These access controls are computerized security system. In these systems all the assigned codes, biological scans, magnetic strip codes are saved in control centre system (centralized system).

When user enters these codes to electronic systems, the information is passed to control centre (where all the information is stored) to verify the code, scans and credentials.

If input is correct then user can access the entry else access will be denied.
Control centre helps to monitor all the access systems in a building. Like for different entry gates, doors, elevators, turnstiles and parking gates.

I hope all the above information will help you to select best security solution for your business.
